I've always wanted to excel in ti-89 and rational expressions, it seems like there's a lot that can be done with it that I can't do otherwise. I've searched the internet for some good learning tools , and consulted the local library for some books, but all the information seems to be directed to people who already know the subject. Is there any tool that can help new people as well?

I second that. Algebrator has already helped me solving problems on ti-89 and rational expressions in the past, and confident that you would like it. I have never been to a high ranking school, but thanks to this software my math problem solving skills are even better than students studying in one of those fancy schools.

I remember having often faced problems with leading coefficient, linear equations and x-intercept. A really great piece of algebra program is Algebrator software. By simply typing in a problem from workbook a step by step solution would appear by a click on Solve. I have used it through many math classes – Pre Algebra, Pre Algebra and Basic Math. I greatly recommend the program.
