I'm just wondering if someone can give me a few pointers here so that I can understand the concepts behind how to do linear combination method. I find solving equations really difficult. I work in the evening and thus have no time left to take extra classes. Can you guys suggest any online tool that can help me with this subject?

What exactly don't you understand about how to do linear combination method? I remember having problem with the same thing in Pre Algebra, so I think I could try to give you some advice on how to handle such problems. However if you want help with math on a long term basis, then you should check out Algebrator, that's what I did in my Remedial Algebra, and I have to say it's so cool! It's less expensive than a private teacher and you can work with it anytime you feel like. It's very easy to use it , even if you never ever had a similar software . I would advise you to get it as soon as you can and forget about getting a math tutor . You won't regret it!
